  The Reading/Writing section now features shorter texts with single questions, while the Math section includes more concise word problems. A calculator can be used for all Math questions, and the Bluebook app comes with a built-in graphing calculator.

What to Bring on SAT Test Day

Prepare yourself for SAT test day by bringing the essentials and leaving unnecessary items at home. Here’s a handy list to ensure you have everything you need:

Must-Haves

• Testing Device: A fully charged device with the Bluebook™ application installed and exam setup completed (check detailed device requirements)

• Admission Ticket: Your up-to-date admission ticket from the Bluebook app. A printed ticket is preferred and can be accessed after completing exam setup (available starting 5 days before the test)

• Photo ID: An acceptable form of photo identification

• Writing Tools: Pencils or pens for scratch work

• College Board Login: Your College Board username and password

• Calculator: An acceptable calculator for the Math section (the Bluebook app includes an embedded graphing calculator)

Nice to Have

• Watch: A watch without an audible alarm (The Bluebook app has a built-in timer, but a watch can help time your breaks)

• Charging Equipment: A charging cable or portable charger

• Refreshments: A drink or snacks for your break

• Backup Device: A spare testing device in case of technical issues

What about the ACT?

In addition to the SAT, the ACT is also transitioning to a digital format. It will offer features like screen readers, text-to-speech, and answer masking to enhance accessibility. However, unlike the digital SAT, the digital ACT will not adopt adaptive testing or a shorter format. The content, length, and scoring system will remain the same as the paper version.
